CVC words practice game - beginning sight words also included
A sight word list is provided that names all of the other (not CVC) words used in each sentence. Each missing word is a CVC word.
All of the sentence & word cards are color coded so you could divide them up to make three different sets of matching cards.
30 sentence cards, 30 CVC word cards, 30 sun tokens, 3 player boards, a sight word list, and an answer key
Students can play in small groups or individually, as a student centered activity.
How to Play
1. Every player gets a game board and matching sun tokens (10 each)
2. Take turns reading a sentence card and trying to match the missing word to the correct word card.
3. If you make a correct match put one of your sun tokens on your game board.
4. The first player to use all of his/her sun tokens is the winner.
Great supplement when teaching the ELA Common Core State Standards.
