Use these Circle Maps when you teach or review letters and letter sounds. Students can draw, write or cut and glue magazine pictures in the Circle Map. There are 2 versions of each map. One has a place for the student's name and the other does not. Circle Maps are a great way to access background knowledge as well. You could have your students brainstorm all of the words they know that begin with the letter. After teaching the letter, you could use a different color to add additional words or pictures to the map. Also, consider using the Circle Maps for small group work. Students can collaborate on one map by taking turns adding to the map.
