Beginning Letter Activity is great for literacy stations or as an activity for early finishers. It allows children to engage their pre-reading skills (phonemic awareness) by identifying beginning letter sounds of various images. It is also perfect for children with Autism and a Special Education classroom.
The pictures included in this activity: cup, apple, dog, leaf, tree, swan, rose, ball, egg, acorn, fox, honey, iris, jug, kite, log, nut, owl, pear, robot, stool, watch, yarn, duck, vase, wasp, zucchini, jeep, snowman, yacht, crown, fireworks, grass, doll, elephant, horse, banana, carrot, frog, note, lion, zebra, pizza, kilt, boy/ball, lamb, goat, money, sunflower, rabbit, ukulele, orange, turtle, igloo, mouse, onion.
The pages must be printed on photo paper and laminated. The cards with letters must be cut out. Ask your students to clip the pin onto the card to show the answer that matches the picture.
