Fun literacy activity to teach and practice the initial sounds in words. This is a great station/center activity to provide students with hands on practice of this important skill. This activity comes with pictures cards that have students have to identify the beginning sound of each picture. Print, laminate, cut apart, and it is ready to use! With this activity, you have students match pictures beginning sound with the correct letter. For example, the picture card has a cat and cap students write the letter c. Then have students complete worksheet as assessment or additional initial sounds practice. This activity can be self checking by writing the letter match on the back of the picture cards.
