Product Description
Building the relationship between letter names and letter sounds is a critical step in setting the foundation for learning to read and write. It is important for students to be able to quickly identify letter names and know the sounds that they make. This resource will help to provide your students with practice to help them build a solid letter/sounds foundation.

Good news! This resource is part of a BUNDLE! Check it out here: Beginning Sounds BUNDLE.

The activities are fun, fresh, and engaging. Plus they are SUPER easy to prep! Just print and slide in a page protector! Students will need plastic math cubes to complete the activities. This activity makes a great morning work tub, fast finisher activity, or literacy center.

Picture names are included for ALL pictures.

To complete the activity, students will identify the beginning sound of each picture to work their way through the maze. They will use classroom manipulatives to cover the pictures along the way. Plastic math cubes or mini erasers work great with this activity!

Answer keys are included for students to check their work. You could slide each maze in a page protector and slide the answer key behind the maze, back to back. Students complete the maze and then flip it over to see if they completed it correctly.

It is a good idea to begin this activity in a small group teacher led setting so that students can become familiar with the correct picture names.
