Students can practice a few early learning standards by engaging in this hands-on activity. Letter identification, letter sound correspondence, and initial sounds in words are skills that are practiced while using this resource.
While working with a partner(s) or independently students clip a clothespin (or paperclip or dry erase marker/crayon) onto the box with the beginning sound that matches the picture. Students will have the opportunity to match both uppercase and lowercase letters.
This is a great activity to observe as a formative assessment.
