It's Relative to Beginning Sounds, Numbers, and Counting is great for the beginning of the year! These worksheets or centers activities allow students to practice handwriting skills, word family clip art is integrated to help children distinguish between beginning sounds, and use drawings to show comprehension of simple sentences. Make center time more engaging with the following activities which are great to use for independent practice. These hands-on activities are designed to have children place the correct pictures on the table for the targeted beginning sound. The number activities are designed to have children place the correct number, number of objects, number sentence and number word for each number on the table.
Variation: Each table with the pictures, numbers or objects can be printed on card stock and laminated for durability. After cutting the corresponding pictures, numbers or objects from the table, place each set in separate containers (example: zip lock bags) for easy access storage.
