The aim of these hands on, easy to use beginning sounds peg it cards is to get your littlies practicing their beginning sounds. There are 51 cards in total. The cards are great as a whole class activity – I sat my students in a circle and gave each of them a card. We went around the circle and looked at each student’s card. I then put an upside down card on the floor in front of them. When I said, ‘Go!’ they turned their card over and rushed to find the initial letter. They loved it, so we did it again…and again!
The cards are also ideal for literacy centers, small groups or early finishers.
The Pack Consists Of:
• 51 x picture cards (with 2 cards per letter, with the exception of ‘x’ which only has one card)
How To Use This Product:
• Print out the cards you want to use.
• Laminate the cards for longevity.
• The students clip a peg / clothes pin onto the correct word/picture.
Alternatively, you may choose to cut the bottom lines so that the children fold up the unwanted letter, instead of using pegs.
