Beginning Sounds PowerPoint Game - M and Short A
This is a fun way for the class to learn or review beginning sounds. The game can be played whole class using a projector with the teacher reading the questions and keeping score on the game's scoreboard.

I picked the short A and M sounds for my first PowerPoint Game because these are the first two sounds introduced in my Kindergarten class Language Arts program. I plan to make similar games for all the remaining sounds if feedback to this game is good.
Create up to 4 teams of students. Each team takes turns choosing a question to answer from the scoreboard page. The teacher reads the question and the students answer. If they answer correctly, the teacher returns to the scoreboard page by clicking the "Scoreboard" button, then the teacher manually enters the new score. The team with the most correct answers wins (my students often end the game with tied scores).
I hope you and your students enjoy. These simple PowerPoint games are fun to make, so please leave feedback if you like it and want more.
