Beginning Sounds Small Group Intervention will help you plan your small group instruction around the sounds your students know or are using but confusing. You will love this set of beginning sound games to break down your instruction into smaller chunks. These games are designed to be used in small groups with 2 – 4 students and for those students who know more letters 2- 6 students. There are beginning consonant flashcards to begin each lesson with letter name, picture name and sound. There are 5 different 3-in-a-Row games that follow a sequence of letters. There is also a 4-in-a Row game with 6 cards for those students who know most of their letters. Use the game beginning sounds picture cards to sort by the beginning sounds in a small pocket chart. There is also a list of the beginning sound pictures so you are not left guessing what sound is being featured with each picture. For additional reinforcement and practice, place them into your Literacy Centers for your students to play with an instructional aide or parent volunteer.
Partner Print and Play board games are included with themes that can be used at any time of the year. The directions and rules are simple and straight forward.
Your students will ask to play them over and over again!
