This contains 12 different picture sorts practicing initial word sounds.
The order for introducing the letter sounds was taken from http://reading.uoregon.edu/big_ideas/au/au_programs.php on June 5, 2015. The letter sounds are introduced in a specific order, taking into account many features including auditory and visual clues and letters that can be used together to make words early on. The focus is on lower case letters since print contains primarily lowercase letters. There are at least 6 pictures for each letter with the exception of q,u,x,y, and z which have a few less due to less words at the primary level starting with these letters.
