This beginning sounds activity can be used as a center, small group or early finisher task, students will practice their beginning word sounds with this activity.
This "PEACHY" Product Includes:
There are 3 choices to pick from for the beginning sound. The student will place the clip/clothes pin on the answer they think is best. The teacher may then either have the child self-check or the teacher may check for understanding with the child.
For differentiation and challenge:
• Students may select from clothes pins that have the uppercase letter on the pin. They will then match the upper and lowercase letters in addition to the sounds.
• Students may use the long vowel cards to practice this advanced skill.

RF.K.2: Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes).
RF.K.2d: Isolate and pronounce the initial, medial vowel, and final sounds (phonemes) in three-phoneme words.
RF.K.3: Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
