I created this QR code activity to make practicing begging sounds fun while also using technology. An internet enabled device with a QR code scanner will be required for students to complete this activity. (If you don’t already have a QR reader on your device, a quick Google search for “Free QR Code reader” will get you lots of options.)
Once you’ve downloaded and printed the activity, cut the sheet with QR codes into nine individual squares. Students will scan the QR code and a letter will display. They will place that QR code on the animal square whose name begins with the letter they see on the screen. This activity will fit well into a literacy center that has digital devices available.
• I suggest laminating both sheets to help with durability.
• Printing this activity on cardstock will help with durability as well
• When using for centers, I place a small colored dot on the back of each QR code card and the animal card and place the set in a sheet protector. I use a different color dot for each set so they are easy to reassemble as centers if they get mixed up.
