Fun springtime/butterfly activity to teach and practice the initial and final sounds in words. This is a great station/center activity to provide students with hands on practice of this important skill. This activity comes with pictures cards that have the butterfly body, butterfly wings with letters, and a worksheet. Print, laminate, cut apart, and it is ready to use! With this activity, you have students match the butterfly letter wings to the correct body for the pictures beginning and ending sound. For example, the body has a cat picture and students match the wings with a c and t. Then have students complete worksheet as assessment or additional initial/final sounds practice. This activity can be self checking by writing the beginning/ending sounds on the back of the butterfly body.
