Wonderful activity to teach and practice the initial and final sounds in words. This is a great Daily 5 Word work center activity to provide students with hands on practice of this important skill. This activity comes with pictures cards for each alphabet letter except for vowels, c, and k, a sorting mat, a cut and paste worksheet for each letter, and also a blank activity sheet where you can add the letter that your class is working on. With this activity print on card stock and you can laminate picture cards, laminate the the sorting mats and have students move the correct pictures to the corresponding sorting mats, and then have students complete worksheet as assessment or additional initial/final sounds practice. This activity can be self checking by writing the correct answer on the back of the picture card! So many great ways to use one activity! Enjoy!
