This flipbook will help both you and your students have a great beginning to Spanish 2! It is divided into five main themes, which can help guide your first few weeks. For each theme, you could first see what your students remember, go over the notes on that page together, and then practice those ideas for a couple of days. The themes are:
1) Articles and subject pronouns
2) Conjugations of regular –ar, -er, and –ir verbs, plus a review of
3) Conjugations and uses of ser and estar. Additionally, a review of
common personality and physical characteristics.
4) Possessive adjectives and irregular verbs (tener, ir, hacer, saber,
venir, jugar, and poder).
5) Prepositions, question words, and miscellaneous but important
vocab (such as la palabra, con, hay, and hoy)
The back page is left blank on purpose- as you get to know your students, you may find they need to review other themes (such as numbers). This back page is a great spot to write extra notes.
Additionally, this zipped file includes a Powerpoint with all of the answers. Feel free to download the preview file to see thumbnails of both the book and Powerpoint!
I based these themes on the Realidades Para Empezar unit for level 2, but it is basic enough for any beginning Spanish 2 class. The only section that isn’t always covered in Spanish 1 is prepositions. If that’s the case, the ten prepositions in this book are the exact ones in my fun “Preposition Chant with Hand Motions,” which is found at: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Spanish-Prepositions-Chant-with-Hand-Motions-1000070
The flipbook template is used with permission from Tracee Orman, but I cannot sell it in its editable form. If you have requests for something you’d like to see added, e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and mention your idea and tpt username. I’ll see what I can do!
