Need a beginning of the year activity? This "Famously Wrong Predictions" lesson plan is a great way to start off the school year or semester for middle school/ high school students. The 17 slide PPT includes some of the most "famously wrong" predictions (14 in all), including the notion that automobiles have no future in America and a prediction that computers will be non-essential. These humorous predictions show students that others do not set their limits/potential. Culminating this PowerPoint is a timeline along with a goal-setting sheet of where students see themselves in the future and how they will achieve these ends. An example and a blank timeline are all provided. A complete PREP-FREE lesson, ready to go!
