Beginning of Year: First Day of School Activity

This is a quick beginning of the year activity that I usually have my students do as they come into the classroom on the first day of school. Students color in and decorate the number three and then fill in the blanks to share their feelings about their new grade. These make a good beginning of the year display for open house. There is third grade and second grade sheet attached to this file.
