This editable SmartBoard set of procedures has nineteen slides to help you explain to your students the expectations you have for your classroom. The slides include expectations for: morning procedures, homeroom, restroom, getting water, agenda, classwork, asking questions, active listening, homework, walking in line, absences, classroom library checkout, visitors or guests in the classroom, fire and tornado drills, school supplies, sharpening pencils, cubbies/lockers, backpacks, computer tables, small group tables, and dismissal.
I have used this type of activity on the first day of school every year for the last several years to help me explain to my students my classroom expectations. It has also proven invaluable to review procedures whenever students need a refresher. It is also a great set of slides to show parents at Open House to also give them an idea of your expectations.
This information is also of benefit to new students that enroll later in the year. They are able to view the slides independently freeing you to continue with teaching or monitoring others in your classroom.
