This is a set of checklists I use at the beginning of the year to get a grasp of where my kiddos are at!
This set includes:
A cutting assessment- straight line, wavy line and corners. It's great to check on those fine motor skills on the very first day!
Math concepts checklist (AU and US versions)- check colours, shapes, 1:1 correspondence, counting, number recognition and patterning!
Math concepts collated checklist (AU and US versions)- input all the kiddos scores from the math checklist and see large and small group target areas, and identify at-risk kiddos!
Subitising checklist (AU and US versions)- check their subitising skills with normal dice patterns and random dot patterns!
Phonemic Awareness checklist- covers rhyming, syllables, blending, segmenting and phoneme manipulation. Good skills to check on even before introducing letters and sounds!
Reading conventions checklist- are they ready to pick up a book? Do they know how to use it properly?
I hope you find these checklists useful, and as always, I would love to hear your feedback.
