Students can make these school year selfies at the beginning of the year or at the end of the year. This is a fun writing activity and bulletin board isplay
Have your students create a cell phone “Selfie.” They choose a favorite moment from their school year and then using either a blank cell phone template or various boy or girl head templates that are provided, they put themselves in the picture. After they design their cell phone they write about the moment they have chosen.
Use the large blank cell phone pages (android or iPhone) for students who want to draw their own selfie and write on the paper next to it (lined or unlined), or have them choose a head to color, cut, and paste onto the phone sheet.
You can also have students just choose a face and color a face without a phone template if you would prefer. There are large faces (half page) for this purpose, and the smaller faces can be used to cut and paste onto the cell phone paper.
I have also made cell phones with boys and girls already in them, so you can just print and go, and not mess with cutting and pasting.
There is lined writing paper for students to write on with a variety of hashtags to write about, and a page of paper with just a hashtag so they can write in their own.
I have also included hashtags for several years you can use as a bulletin board header, and the header #Schoolyear
Everything is in black and white so it is ink friendly. You may mount on colored paper if you like, but the student coloring sheets and writing should be on white paper so it will stand out.
