Forms, paperwork, and posters that all teachers should have for the first day of school. These will be LIFE SAVERS for documentation purposes and to stay organized. These documents include:
Student Failure Log
Homework Assignments Poster (print to poster size and hang on wall)-- This will be where you record all assignments, quizzes, and tests so that students who were absent have the information, and students can take initiative to write down what they're missing. It's great if you have an online gradebook, like Skyward, to match the name you write to the Skyward name. Students then have all the information about that assignment if it is missing or late.
Parent Contact Log
Refocus Form-- Students who are disrupting class can be sent to a partner-teacher's room where they will fill out this form and return to class. If their behavior hasn't changed, this form is documentation, in their words, of what happened for when you call home.
Tutorial Sign-in Sheet
What did I miss (Print to poster size)-- Display on wall with what happened in class that week so students do not come up to ask you personally each day.
