The beginning of the year is always an exciting time! But, the one thing I do not look forward to is establishing my classroom procedures and routines. It takes time to ensure students know what to expect, and if you don't take the time to make sure this foundation is strong, then you will spend much of the year redirecting/reminding students which takes away from learning time.
I have used this product for YEARS. I love to use this to help my students learn my rules, expectations, and procedures in a collaborative way. Once rules and procedures are discussed, students then illustrate the pages to make a class book. It is an effective activity for students to complete to learn your classroom rules and procedures, and serves as a great reminder when needed or even for your substitute...because we all know students will tell subs what THEY want them to know :) I love to use this to help my students learn my rules, expectations, and procedures in a collaborative way.
This file includes directions, 41 rules and procedure pages for students to illustrate themselves, 2 binder covers, and 6 binder spine labels (includes 1/2 inch, 1 inch, and 3 inch binder sizes).
This document is a powerpoint so you can edit one page to include your own specific rules or procedures.
