Product Description
This is a fun scarecrow building literacy center activity. In this fun activity your students will build a scarecrow that has matching beginning sounds. This activity can be used for Kindergarten or 1st grade as it addresses standards in both grades. This is a great activity to be used as a literacy center or finished work activity. Print this activity on card stock, laminate for durability and have students making snowman. Students match the pictures on the body of the scarecrow that have the beginning sound which is on the scarecrow's hat. For instance, the scarecrow's hat has a t, the students find the body parts that have pictures that begin with t. This activity also comes with one worksheet. Student match the beginning sound of the picture to the letter. This would be great to add to a theme or unit about Fall, harvest time, Peter Rabbit (scarecrow in Mr. Macgregor's garden), a farm, etc.
