This bundle includes multiple resources surrounding the events leading up to the American Revolution and the battles within it. The bundle has:
African Americans in the American Revolution: This webquest is designed for students to be able to interact with multiple different sources in order to learn about the history of African Americans in the American Revolution.
Boston Tea Party & Edenton Tea Party Comparison: This worksheet includes the readings about the Boston Tea Party and Edenton Tea Party and then a comparison chart for the students to complete at the end. This activity is best used in pairs.
Investigate History! Who is to Blame for the Boston Massacre?: This lesson plan is a day of group activities where the students will read an article from the Boston Gazette and the witness testimonies from the Boston Massacre (the website used to obtain the primary sources is attached within the lesson plan). I have edited the primary sources slightly to make them age appropriate for middle school within this document.

The group activity will be include a worksheet where the students have to decide which witness supports which claim and who they believe to be guilty based on the testimonies. There is a worksheet and questions within this packet for the students to use.
PPT Road to Revolution:This powerpoint goes through the major wars that led to the British taxes which in turn caused the American Revolution. Can be paired with a powerpoint about the taxes. Major facts are underlined to make it easier for students to take notes
Revolutionary War Battle Timeline: This worksheet includes a map of the battles from the American Revolution. All major battles are numbered in the order in which they happened. The timeline along the side is for students to place the battles in the order that they happened. Students can also color in the battles according to wins on either side.
Timeline Activity for American Revolution: This activity is great to summarize the major causes of the American Revolution. Students are given a word bank to aid in researching timeline.
The next page is something that can be put into an interactive notebook summarizing the intolerable acts. I have also had students cut out the timeline and the events and glue them into their interactive notebook.
