This calendar is designed to be used with a corresponding behavior management system using colors to represent the student's behavior.
On my calendar the colors represent the following:
Blue- great day
Green- ready to learn (everyone starts here for the day)
Orange- teacher's choice
Red- think time
At the end of each day my students color the square for that date with the color of their behavior for the day (we have a magnet chart). These calendars go home each night in their homework folders and a parent is asked to initial each date so that I can constantly communicate behavior that is both good and bad. This ongoing record of behavior makes it each to give out rewards for total number of good days (or my class does weekly behavior prizes).
At the end of each month these calendars can also be stored in a data notebook for a leadership binder.
