Winter Olympics Themed Behavior Clip Chart in color and black and white
Teachers allocate a clothes pin/peg for each child with their name written clearly. Staple or place the cards together in a vertical fashion, in order from outstanding down to parent contact.
Start each student on the green (for go), Ready to Learn poster at the beginning of each day. Students move their peg according to their behaviour.
To introduce the Olympic themed chart, outline each level of behaviour. Discuss the consequences for both desired and undesired behaviors. Discuss, warning systems for unwanted behavior.
You may like to give a reward at the end of the day, week and or month to motivate children to set and achieve goals. Be sure that this external motivation is balanced with non-concrete rewards, such as praise and verbal recognition.
Teacher’s choice usually means that the teacher has to intervene and remove the child, or decide on their consequence. Here, students should have time to think about what they did wrong and what they could have done.
I have provided two cover posters for both the US and British spellings of behavior, respectively.
