I have revised the traditional clip-up/clip-down behavior chart with effort phrases based off of growth mindset. Students still move up and down the chart with clips throughout the day, but the focus is more on the hard work students are putting forth. We talk about the growth being made and the improvements we see as learners and citizens of our classroom.
This file also includes monthly calendars from June 2016-August 2017. Each day the student can color in or log what color they ended on for the day. It's a great way to communicate with families, as well as give the students an opportunity to reflect on their effort!
*Updated for the 2016-17 school year!
2 designs included!
This file also includes smaller versions of the charts to accommodate different classrooms.
The effort phrases include:
I worked through my struggles and completed all of my work! I was a leader today!
I am acting like a learner and doing my work. I am finding challenges and will not give up!
I am taking risks in my learning and being a good citizen of the classroom!
I am ready to learn! Today is a great day to make mistakes and overcome challenges.
I need to adjust to the challenge I have and get back on track.
I am missing out on some learning that I need to complete.
I am having a struggle and will need to make a plan with an adult to help me.
