These "race charts" were created for elementary and preschool children to encourage them to "race" towards a behavioral goal. They have been used successfully for everything from using a quiet voice when asking for something to completing steps in packing-up routine. The child or adult fills in a square each time s/he meets the goal, once the whole picture is filled in, s/he gets the previously chosen reward. It is a positive reinforcement system with no punishment built-in and has had great success with a large variety of students from special needs to typically developing. You'll find a large variety of pictures including characters and objects.
Included: one page of instructions on how best to implement the charts (especially useful to ensure consistency among caretakers), and 20 race charts (hot air balloon, race car, pencil, rocket, Pooh, Train, Fire Engine, Lego Guy, Elmo, 9 princesses, horse, and unicorn pegasus). In addition, each chart has blank spaces for defining the behavior and specifying the goal reward.
I am able to manipulate other images and modify them into charts if you would like, just contact me.
