This Behavior Clip Chart works FABULOUS in any elementary grade classroom! We recommend printing this 7 page clip chart out on white card stock, laminating and taping all the sheets together. We hang it on a cabinet in our classrooms. You will need a clothespin for each student with their name/number written on it.
This is how we use it in our classrooms:
-Students start the day at "Ready to Learn." (Green)
-Throughout the day, students are told by the teacher to either "clip up" or "clip down" depending on good or bad choices made. They can continue to move up or down throughout the day.
-If a student lands on pink at the end of the day ("I Can Manage Myself") they get to choose a prize out of the treasure box.
-If a student lands on orange ("Teacher's Choice), a consequence is chosen by the teacher.
-If a student lands on red ("Parent Contact") a behavior reflection form is filled out by the student and sent home for a parent signature.
-Our students mark what color they landed on at the end of the day in a calendar found in their "data binders." (This is extra helpful data to use during Parent-Teacher Conferences!)
