This is a great behavior management tool for the classroom! Print out each page (glue to colored construction paper if you'd like) and assemble vertically with red on the bottom and pink on top. You can hole punch the pages and fasten together using book rings between each colored level.
Attach students' names or pictures onto clothespins so that they move up and down the chart. Each morning, students start on green or "Ready to Learn." Based on their choices, students move up or down. Every morning we review the rules and our goal of 'climbing up the ladder' to get to the top (pink).
Purple - Excellent Work!
Blue- Good Job
Green- Ready to Learn
Yellow- Stop and Think
Orange- Time Alone
Red- Call Mom and Dad
* If students land on pink, I send home a special certificate. See my TpT store to check out the download.
* In my classroom, students receive prizes for landing on blue, purple or pink. Blue prizes are stickers, purple are pencils and fun erasers, and pink are the really cool prizes! As the year goes on, I phase out prizes so by the end, students will only receive something for reaching pink.
