Behavior Clip Chart Posters in a lovely chevron cork board theme will add some color and unique style to your classroom. These can easily be used by classroom teachers and specials teachers to keep track of student/ class behavior.
Write your students' names on clothespins and place on the 'Ready to Learn' section. Have the students move their pins throughout the day for showing good or poor behavior. At the end of the day, students can color in the box on the calendar to show what color they ended on for the day. This is a great way to keep a record for each child and communicate home. A key to the side of the calendar explains each color to the parents. A calendar is included for each month of the year (undated) so that it can be used year after year!
Blue- Showing Pride
Green- Ready to Learn
Yellow - Warning make a better choice
Orange- Teacher's Choice
Pink- Parent Contacted
In my music classroom, I number the clothespins instead of putting names on them and students will use their number in the classroom that way I can re-use the clip chart throughout the day with all my classes without having to make 18 different clip charts.
If you are a specials teacher another idea would be to have a clip for each class. This is an easy way to track how students are doing in music and many classroom teachers use something similar in their rooms so the kids are used to this system (at least at my school).
