In my music classroom, I plan to number the clips instead of putting names on them and students will use their number in the classroom that way I can re-use the clip chart throughout the day with all my classes without having to make 18 different clip charts.

This is an easy way to track how students are doing in music and many classroom teachers use something similar in their rooms so the kids are used to this system (at least at my school).
