I've used a three-color system for the last four years in my class to maintain behavior- "green", "yellow", "red". This year, I developed something a little more eye-catching and exciting called "Follow The Rainbow". In the order of the colors of the rainbow- violet being outstanding behavior and red being poor behavior, the students names are on clothes pins and they place their names on "ready to learn" (which is green) in the morning. Throughout the day, they will move up or down depending on how well they're doing! You can print it out on cardstock or plain white paper and can even get fancy and laminate them!
