Are you struggling with a difficult student and you need to document behavior strategies for intervention or therapy? This is the product you need to help you write behavior plans and hopefully end power struggles with that difficult student. I have included rubrics to help you with the documentation.
This product includes RTI Response to Intervention strategies and therapy room strategies for behavior. I have encountered students who have behavior issues that require a little thinking outside of your box. Or a fellow SLP just to say, "Well, maybe try this." I had a student recently that made me take a step back and really try to figure out what would be a great reinforcement for them. Now with special regular education teacher cooperation, he is doing so much better!
I've included a graph for you to document the behavior strategies that you are trying in order to keep a record of what works with your student. I have also included behavior charts to use as an incentive and 50 ideas for positive reinforcement. Some are off the wall ideas, but I have found that my kids respond to things that are not your everyday activities.
I've also included the following activity:
It's time for a pragmatic brain break along with a time out to think about your behavior! Let’s face it, we all have prickly days. Days where we can’t sit still, days where Johnny, who sits beside us, is just rubbing us the wrong way, days where we are in a meltdown, days where we need to feel important and trust-worthy, days where we just need to leave the room and clear our minds. Hence, the hedgehog moment.
All you need is to clue a few of your surrounding friends into what you are doing. You will then send the student to that teacher’s room, they will give them the note, and return.
Think of the possibilities! Following directions, behavior regulation, brain breaks, building social skills, reciprocal conversation skills. I’ve included a hall pass, a list of errand rules (good conversation and social skills) that you can review with the student before their errand, as well as a reflection sheet! The reflection sheet can be used if the behavior was something that you would like the child to correct. You also have a graph to show your progress and take with you to the RTI meeting!
Thanks so much for visiting my store! Hope you find something that you can use in therapy!
