Sometimes it can be pretty difficult to get our kiddos in line and keep them quiet throughout the hallway. Our preschoolers say and move to the same rhyme every time they leave their classroom, it's called "Line Up Rhyme." The teacher stands with his/her students, says the words with the students, and demonstrates each movement (for example, when students and their teacher are saying the line: "I'm standing straight and tall," the teacher is demonstrating what to do by standing tall, head held high..). I've made several slides for you to choose from. Enjoy!!
I promise you, if you stick with it, your students will show tremendous improvement... Instead of getting on to the student mis-behaving, reward one of the students next to him/her (you can say something like, "Sally, thank you for keeping your signal up and walking in the line so nicely!" "Tom, you too!" Always praise, take time to stop and praise each child by name. The ones who's names your not saying aloud should be the ones who are not following directions. Negative reinforcement is still reinforcement.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy these signs, I put mine right by my door in my classroom.
