This log allows teachers to track behavior--good or bad--and keep notes when a full write up is not necessary. For example, I found myself often telling students, "If you do that again, I will [impose consequence]." However, with 120 students each day, I lost track of who did what in which class, leaving some things slipping through the cracks. There are tabs so that you might have an individual page for each student. Some of my colleagues keep a separate file for each class period they teach, while others, like me, simply keep a page for each student in one file. This file contains spots for up to 100 students. Each page also has a place to include parental contact information, so it is conveniently available right alongside the log of the student's activities.
