Behavior Chart: Earn an App for awesome behavior. Help keep behavior in check with this modern day smartphone themed behavior management system. It's a fun way to incorporate something most students are becoming very familiar with; phone apps.
With this pack, I have made it so that it can be used several different ways.
**The first way is to use it as a bulletin board behavior display, where each student has a phone on the bulletin board. The phones would work like a typical sticker chart where students will earn 'apps' for their phone , which are either stickers placed on the app outline or they will color it in. They get an app by following the discipline guidelines/rules that you have set forth for the class. If you choose to use the bulletin board format, I have also included: 2 styles of border to print and hang around the display, a title card that says, "Earn an App", and a couple of themed pictures to hang on the board.
**The second option for the behavior chart is to make each student their individual behavior notebook or folder. In this case, there is a cover sheet included and a phone image page for each month of the year. There are two versions of the pages. One is where there is no parent initial required and one where parents initial each night. You can even use that one for particular students if only a few need the nightly parent communication part.
You as the teacher will need to decide if there is any reward given at the end of a month for a phone full or apps, such as ice cream or something like that. Of course there doesn't really have to be an reward, as they can just feel proud for earning a phone full of apps. :-)
** One other thing I have included is a set of three phones in the colors of red, green, and yellow. These can be used like the 'stop light' clip chart method where students have clips that all start on green and then moved to yellow or red based on how they behave. This is just another component if you want to use this to determine if they actually earn an app for the day. Just put all names on clothes pins and move them as needed.
Behavior is such an important part of the classroom. I hope you enjoy using this fun behavior chart method in your classroom.
