Directions: Print out pages. Glue to corresponding colored construction paper. (Ex: If the font is green, attach to green construction paper, etc.)
Tape the sheets together in the following order: purple on top, blue below purple, green below, then yellow, and finally red. Laminate for durability.
Write student names on clothespins and attach to left and right sides of green “Ready to Learn” area.
In my classroom, students start on green at the beginning of each day. According to their behavior, I ask them to move their clip up and/or down multiple times throughout the day. (Their clip can only be moved one color in either direction at a time.)
At the end of the day, students color in the daily behavior log (see last page) to show their parents how their behavior was for the day. Parents are required to sign each night. Students earn a ticket for bringing it back signed each day. (I contact parents if any child ends up on red “Parent Contact” at the end of the day.)
I assign one student a week the job of re-setting all the clips back to green at the end of the day.
*Towards the end of the year, students do really well following most directions, so we only re-set our clips on Mondays and they work throughout the week to get their clips to purple: “Dream Behavior.” Those students who make it to purple by the end of the week, get placed in a “Dream Behavior Drawing” where they earn prizes such as: treasure box pick, sit at the teacher’s desk, use the teacher’s special supplies for a day, teacher sends a nice note home, etc.
