This visual prompt aids in keeping your child or student on task and behaving appropriately by providing them with simple, concrete reminders of the next task they will be required to complete. It is helpful for children who struggle with attention and hyperactivity, as well as children on the autism spectrum who struggle with rigidity and changes to their routine.

►How to Use◄

1. Cut out the individual pictures provided in this download and place tape or velcro dots on the back of each picture.

2. Map out your child or student's day using the pictures provided.

3. Place the pictures on the board based on your child’s routine. Once a task is completed, allow your child to remove the picture from the board.

4. Do this until each task has been completed.

*Especially helpful when changes in routine are being implemented!

This visual schedule can be adapted for use in the home and school environment. It is roughly the same size as an iPad, so it is compact enough to transport in order to assist in generalizing behavior across multiple settings, such as going to the grocery store or running errands.
