"Race to the Finish!" is an individualized positive reinforcement behavior plan that makes being good in the classroom fun! In this behavior plan, students are encouraged to demonstrate positive behaviors by having the opportunity to move a race car around a track for each positive behavior shown. As they move the car around their track, they earn up to 30 minutes of iPad time to use at the end of the school day. This plan is both fun and encouraging throughout the day, and also gives students something concrete to work towards.
Included in "Race to the Finish!" is a social story which outlines the expected behaviors and explains the plan to the student in easy to understand language, as well as the race track and car. There are also instructions for how to assemble the plan and recommended usage.
Expected behaviors in this plan include:
-Be nice to friends
-Walk quietly in the hall
-Pay attention/Follow directions
-Stay in seat/Do your work
-Try your hardest
If you would like a customized social story that outlines more specific behaviors, includes teacher and student names, or a different reinforcement - just ask! I'd love to help create something specifically with your students in mind!
