Behavior Clip Chart Posters and BONUS Communication Schedule!
If you are looking for a great way to manage your classroom this year, try the Behavior Clip Chart Method. I recently changed over from the stoplight method because I wanted my children and students to see that they are responsible for their behavior and that they have the power to CHANGE their behavior and make better choices.
Simply print the posters out and tape/staple together to make one tall chart. Order from left to right or top to bottom
(Pink-Fantastic, Purple-Great Example, Blue-Good Choices, Green-Ready to Go, Yellow-Think Time, Orange-Teacher's Consequence, Red- Contact Home)
Then, put your children's/student's names on clothespins clips and clip them onto the middle of the chart (Ready to Go!) As the child makes good choices or bad choices you can move them up or down the chart as needed! This is a great visual to show children that they have control over their own behavior.
I use the schedule as a communication tool with families. I will color in the boxes (or have the student's later in the year color them in) to show their family how their behavior was that particular day. They will see the direct connection between home and school!
ALSO AVAILABLE: Behavior Management Coupons and Behavior-Point Chart to go along with these Posters and Communication Schedule!
