This behavior reflection/think sheet is great to use in any elementary classroom (grades K-5) to have students reflect on their behavior that broke a class rule or did not meet behavior expectations set by your school/administration.
There are THREE different versions of the behavior reflection sheet included in this download. ALL versions include visuals for students to help identify how they felt when they made the poor choice.
The version for use in grades 3-5 leaves room for students to write a response to each reflection prompt, focusing on the most important elements of the situation:
- What happened
- What rule they broke
- Who was involved
- Why they acted this way
- How the student felt when the event occurred
- What they can do right now
- What they can do next time
There are TWO versions for use in K-2 classrooms. They are both more simplistic than the grades 3-5 version in terms of language used. One version uses multiple choice options for responses to the reflection prompts, and the other leaves space for the student to draw or write a sentence in response.
TIP FOR CLASSROOM USE: I would suggest that if you use these in your classroom, do not have students fill out the sheet, never to be looked at again. The purpose of these sheets, in addition to having students think critically about their actions and reflect on them, is to come up with a plan or appropriate consequence WITH the student after they've completed it.
