I like using this "Stop & Think" system because I can quietly walk by a student who needs redirection and place a Stop Sign ticket on their desk. This is their warning to stop and think about their behavior and I don't have to stop teaching or even say anything to the student.
If the behavior continues, I come by again and give them a reflection sheet and they can excuse themselves to go in the hall/back table/buddy classroom to fill it out.
I have included two versions of these reflection papers. One for older students where they have to write and one for primary children who can draw.
I print and laminate the "Stop and Think" cards, and the reflection papers I have printed and cut on my desk so can grab one if I need to.
This system has worked great in both my kindergarten classroom and my fifth grade classroom!
