We spend the first few weeks of school using words like "resonsible", "respectful", etc. But do our kids really understand what they mean? After brainstorming together, and writing examples on the board, my kids copy 6 examples onto these cards. They can easily cut out each card, fold it backward, and glue the front and back together. When you punch holes at the top of each card and string some yarn through them, they have a necklace to wear around school. Hopefully, plenty of teachers will ask them "How to be ..." and they'll have the chance to answer! Giving points for answering starts us off on a positive note as early as the first day!
