A behavioral accountability matrix that monitors students' progress throughout the day for your difficult kiddos.
Send home at the end of the day for a parent signature. Student must return the following day for an incentive.
Younger students enjoy collecting a sticker at the end of the day for high points. These stickers should be different from stickers given on academic work and should reflect the interests and likes of the student.
Modify incentives for older students like extra tech time, or a class job of their choice, etc. Emphasize the desired outcomes and remain consistent. You will see results with this.
It helps if this is aligned with the school's PBIS mantra. This matrix reflects the PBIS: PRIDE & Be Safe, Be respectful, Be Responsible.
