The Full Value Contract serves as a structure for creating behavioural norms that everyone in the class agrees to follow, and that everyone in the group agrees to maintain throughout the school year. This norm-setting process establishes an atmosphere where students feel cared for, connected, self efficacy and valued. This atmosphere is critical to being able to fully value oneself and others while participating in all classroom activities. This process allows each student the opportunity to think about the class and about his or her own role and behaviour within it.
