Here's four weeks
of bellringers all based on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speech. Since the speech is copyrighted, it is not included but there are links to the speech at the National Archives and a video.
Each week, students are given one sentence from the speech and asked questions about:
★ parts of speech
★ figurative language
★ interpreting the figurative language
★ direction to re-write the sentence with various additions to give students practice at writing super sentences.
Students can record their answers on the question sheet or by using a special interactive notebook foldable that matches the sentence for each week!
