These literacy activities are designed to be used as workstations for the month of February. There are three different sets of consonant blends activities to be used for three weeks in February, one per week. Also included at the end of the product are more blends to use as whole group or during guide reading group to give them practice before the students are expected to do the independent workstations. I use a pocket chart during whole group practice and then during independent practice students place the blend headings on the floor and work together to sort the pictures.
I have included a student ‘I can’ direction page so students know what to do as well as volunteers who come into your room and work with groups.
Response pages have been included to keep students accountable at the stations. The students will cut and glue pictures under the correct blend.
