This product has been designed to support the weekly writing lessons in Benchmark Advance Unit 4. This resource is now editable and you can customize it to better meet the needs of your students.
The resources align with and support the revision and editing lessons embedded in each weekly writing process. The focus of this product is the main sheet, which includes an area for the prompt of your choice, useful vocabulary, and revision and editing resources/examples students can use throughout the week. The product also includes a variety of graphic organizers students may use for prewriting or drafting.
Revision and editing resources have been carefully selected and include things like:
- sentence starters and linking words for each genre prompt
- criteria charts
- parts of speech
- text features
- genre-related vocabulary
- vocabulary from the selections that students may use to edit for spelling or for research
**The weekly sheets should be handy resources for students in your small groups/writing workshops, students working independently, or students who need an all-in-one resource sheet. The product will also save you time spent directing students to posters on walls or writing notebooks.
My writing plans and organizers follow the formats presented in my "Writing Genres" chart included in : Benchmark Advance Writing-Posters and Bookmarks- Supports SBAC and CCSS
This product is also part of the Benchmark Advance 3rd Grade Writing Resources - EDITABLE BUNDLE which saves you some money and includes some bonus sets (Unit titles and the Benchmark Advance Writing-Posters and Bookmarks- Supports SBAC and CCSS).
